About

Hi, I'm Anshul Goel

Data guy by profession, investor by obsession, road-tripper whenever the kids let us.

Anshul Goel

I'm a data guy who got hooked on money maths. I started in 2016 crunching numbers at an analytics firm in Gurgaon, packed my bags for a master's at UCD Smurfit in Dublin, worked at Microsoft and Deloitte there, and came back home in 2020. These days I build and lead AI and data teams in healthcare tech.

Home is Gurgaon: my wife, our two kids and me. Weekends mean long drives, too many snacks in the back seat and a drone that's always low on battery. Most of what I do with money is about giving my family security and freedom, and a lot of great road trips along the way.

I'm not a finance professional or a SEBI-registered adviser. I'm someone who treats his own money like a data problem: measure it, test it, and only keep what works.

My one rule

If it isn't a double-digit return, it's nothing. After inflation and tax, "safe" single-digit returns barely move you forward. I build my portfolio to clear 10% over the long run, using equity as the engine and alternatives like invoice discounting and bonds as the booster. See my actual results and how I read them →

Why this site exists

Wealth, Wheels & Wanderlust brings together three things I spend a lot of time on: investing beyond the usual FD-and-mutual-fund mix, kitting out cars for long drives, and the road trips themselves. Here you'll find the calculators and trackers I actually use, guides with videos, and the gear and platforms I rely on. On the YouTube channel I walk through my thinking, what's worked and what hasn't.

What this site is, and isn't

It's education: how products work, how to run the numbers, and what I do with my own money. It isn't investment advice. I'm not a SEBI-registered adviser, and I don't tell anyone what to buy. Read the full disclaimer.
