The Double-Digit Test
Add what you own and what you owe. See what your money has actually earned per year so far, and what your current mix can earn from here. It flags what's holding you back and lets you test "what if" mixes. My rule: if it isn't double-digit, it's nothing.

Where it could take you
Projects today's investments plus your monthly investing (set in Assumptions) at the expected return. Higher-return assets usually swing more from year to year; real returns won't be a smooth line.

Where expected returns come from
Market standards are long-run planning assumptions, not predictions; change them to your own view. Any holding where you enter your own rate or estimate always uses that instead.
How the Double-Digit Test works
Return so far is what your money has actually earned per year (XIRR), using each holding's amount, the date you invested and today's value. For SIPs it assumes equal monthly instalments from the first one to today; for exact figures, use the XIRR calculator with every transaction. Under a year, it shows the plain gain instead, because a yearly rate from a few months exaggerates.
Expected return looks ahead. Equity, debt funds, gold, REITs, EPF/PPF and cash use long-run market standards (equity depends on how long you'll stay invested). FDs, NCDs, P2P and invoice discounting use the rate you enter, or what they've earned so far. Real estate and other alternatives depend on location, builder and timing, so they're only included if you add your own estimate. It's a planning estimate before tax, not a prediction.
